Subject:  Corvette Radiator Lower Hose Replacement
Model and Year:  1963 - 1964Corvettes

Number:  Volume 36, Number 2
Date:  February 1964, Page 3

When replacing the radiator outlet (lower) hose on 1963-64 Corvettes, difficulties encountered in normal removal of the hose clamps usually result in the clamps being damaged to the extent that they are not suitable for reinstallation.  Therefore as a time saving measure, it is recommended that the clamps be cut from the old hose and new clamps be installed on the replacement hose.

NOTE:  Formerly, it was recommended that the radiator assembly be removed for replacement of the lower hose.  However, by cutting the hose clamps from the old hose, replacement of the lower hose can be performed without removing the radiator assembly from the vehicle.
