Early this morning, dealers received notice from Chevrolet outlining June consensus notes including some key dates for 2022 Corvette production

According to the latest consensus notes released to dealers by Chevrolet, the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly plant is back to full production with two shifts working to crank out the remaining 2021 Corvettes still sitting in the system at 3000 or above.  Production has been adjusted to try and compensate for the unplanned downtime over the last month.

As we already know, the 2022 Corvette visualizer was released yesterday followed by news of the starting price increase as well as additional LT2 engine enhancements to help decrease emissions while increasing fuel economy.

According to the document that dealers received this morning, the 2022 Corvette Order Guide will be released on June 28 followed by the start of regular production and the release of the “Build Your Own” tool in “early September”.

2022 Corvette Low Profile SpoilerEarly September could be a realistic time frame assuming there are no further disruptions to the supply chain causing additional shutdowns at BGCA.  If further shutdowns occur, it could potentially push the SORP of the 2022 Corvette back to the end of September.

Let’s keep us fingers crossed!

The order guide will be released June 28th and dealers will start taking orders on July 1st, I will not get a 2021 and will have to re-order mine with my respective dealer. Can I place my order on June 28th with my dealer or, do I have to wait until July 1st ???

If your 2021 order was cancelled by GM because it was below status code 3000, your dealer should reach out to you to find out if you want to place a 2022 order. Your dealer should have all of your order details, but they will not be able to submit the order into GM’s Work Bench system and give you an order number until July 1st.

GM has NOT released 2022 Corvette allocation numbers to ANY Chevrolet dealer.
