Early this morning, dealers received notice from Chevrolet outlining June consensus notes including some key dates for 2022 Corvette production
According to the latest consensus notes released to dealers by Chevrolet, the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly plant is back to full production with two shifts working to crank out the remaining 2021 Corvettes still sitting in the system at 3000 or above. Production has been adjusted to try and compensate for the unplanned downtime over the last month.
As we already know, the 2022 Corvette visualizer was released yesterday followed by news of the starting price increase as well as additional LT2 engine enhancements to help decrease emissions while increasing fuel economy.
According to the document that dealers received this morning, the 2022 Corvette Order Guide will be released on June 28 followed by the start of regular production and the release of the “Build Your Own” tool in “early September”.
Early September could be a realistic time frame assuming there are no further disruptions to the supply chain causing additional shutdowns at BGCA. If further shutdowns occur, it could potentially push the SORP of the 2022 Corvette back to the end of September.
Let’s keep us fingers crossed!
