Last month, the Corvette Team held an online presentation in lieu of being at the annual Corvettes at Carlisle event.  During the interview, Corvette Chief Engineer, Tadge Juechter confirmed that the Corvette Development Team was currently testing several right-hand drive prototypes across the U.S.

“Yes, some of us are actually driving them around… it’s very strange to be driving a Corvette with the steering wheel on the right-hand side” – Tadge Juechter

So far, the General has not confirmed an official launch date for the right-hand drive model, however, Japan is expected to be the first to get their hands on this model.

The base Corvette Stingray with the 2LT trim package will be priced in the Japanese market around ¥11.8M or approximately AU$152,000.  The top of the line 3LT trim model will be priced around ¥14M in Japan, or roughly AU$180,000.

The right-hand drive model will be sold under the GMSV brand.  You can sign up for updates on their official Special Vehicles page.
