1957 Corvette Production and Performance
| Model Year Highlights |
- 1957 Corvettes came equipped with brackets for seat belts, but did not come from the factory equipped with seat belts. They were a dealer installed option.
- 1957 was the first year fuel injection and a four-speed transmission was offered on the Corvette.
- Both white plastic and chrome plated shift knobs were used on 1957 Corvettes. Early 1957 models came equipped with the chrome plated knobs while later production models came equipped with the white plastic knobs.
