Model Year Highlights:

  • This was the first year for the all new 265ci, V8 engine. V8-equipped Corvettes could be identified by the large gold "V" over the smaller "v" in the Chevrolet script on the front fenders.
  • The V8 engines came equipped with chrome plated valve covers with the Chevrolet script.
