GM Will Take the Wraps off the 2023 Corvette Z06 on October 26!

A month ago officially announced that the 2023 Corvette Z06 would be officially unveiled this coming Fall and this week has been extremely busy with spy photos and videos showing the super Corvette running around the Nurburgring with much less cladding than we’ve seen before.

Details on this next generation Z06 have been slim, but there’s no arguing that whatever lurks in the engine bay, is definitely not your ordinary high performance Chevy V8.

According to our sources, carbon fiber wheels may be Dymag will be an option.

Some of our readers may recall that Dymag was a high performance wheel manufacturer that made aftermarket wheels for the C4 Corvettes and in particular, Callaway’s high performance C4 Corvettes.

Dymag launched the first carbon composite wheel in 1995 and was the first company to commercialize high performance carbon fiber composite wheels for the automotive industry in 2004.   However, by late 2009, the company filed for bankruptcy and was ultimately rescued by CSA Performance Wheels.

Since then Dymag has been making huge strides into the automotive industry with their carbon fiber composite wheels and has been the OEM for the likes of Aston Martin and Koenisegg.  They’re now set to become a major supplier for the Corvette.

Between the wider body work, what’s believed to be a flat-plane crank V8 engine and a reduction in unsprung weight with carbon fiber composite wheels, this next iteration of the Z06 Corvette is poised to be the highest performing Corvette we’ve ever seen come out of Chevrolet.
