1994 Corvette Brickyard 400 Pace Cars
On August 6, 1994, the inaugural Brickyard 300 race was held at the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Twenty-five 1994 Corvette convertibles (13 red, 12 black) were used as parade or festival cars. Below are the details of those pace cars.
On August 6, 1994, the inaugural Brickyard 300 race was held at the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Twenty-five 1994 Corvette convertibles (13 red, 12 black) were used as parade or festival cars. The Corvettes were mainly used to parade VIPs and introduce the 43 Nascar drivers in a parade lap around the track. Below is a list of facts about the cars:
- The Corvettes were shipped directly from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant to the GM Tech Center in Warren, Michigan.
- Two of the cars had their Brickyard decals applied at the Tech Center and evaluated while the other 23 were sent to Chevrolet dealerships in the Indianapolis area to have their decals applied.
