Default Anyone ever used 5 Star Shine?

I purchased it and applied it to my car back in June right after purchase. I loved it and it has kept my girl beautiful. I especially like the way it makes the finish feel - slick as glass. Haven't had to wax or re-apply since then, just wash and dry it every so often to keep it shiny.

But I've noticed no one here ever mentions it, and I'm curious if others have tried it and didn't like it, or if no one was interested in trying it in the first place.

I originally came across a link on one of the Top 100 Corvette sites. After reading up on the stuff I decided to try it. It's expensive, the kit I bought was for 1 application and cost $60-$80. And when I got it, I thought no way it would do my entire car, but it goes on sparingly, and the result is amazing. As I said, I've done nothing but wash and dry her since. And she never gets as dirty between washings as my C4 did.

Read up on it and let me know what you think.

And something else too... I'm not fighting swirl marks like I did with my C4.

What is this stuff I want some! Can you send me a link of a supplier for this. Is it just a one time application or once a year or what? Black is awesome when it's clean, but that is just usually in my driveway right after I wash it. This evidently is more than a wax; is it a sealer of some kind?

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill.
The 5 Star Shine I bought off the internet, 5starshine.com and they recommend you re-apply after 3 years.

The Klasse I've never tried. BOOPSC5 is beautiful, but they say they re-apply it every other week so I don't like that.

BTW I briefly considered buying a black Corvette because I've always loved the color (or lack of it ) but I knew it would be a constant battle to keep it clean. I've always been partial to red Corvettes so I was glad I found my Carmine Red. And the 5 Star Shine keeps it looking like BOOPSC5 longer than anything else I've tried.

Good luck!

JAG

Thanks for the info and I will check it out ASAP. I am not going to wax mine every other week that is for sure. I like it clean and shinning, but I also want to drive it and take a few trips in it. I will check out the 5 Star Shine. I don't have time to wax mine but maybe once or twice a year. Black is beautiful but impossible to keep it that way no matter what. I want to take care of it but I am not going to kill myself, gettting too old for that crap! I live to drive and drive to live!!!!

Thanks MY Man,
Bill

BOOPSC-5,

She looks mighty fine too! Wish I had the time to do mine that often but I don't, I am like RAIN wish someone would come out here and detail mine for me. I really like cleaning it but it takes me all day and I just don't seem to have that much time to do it over once or twice a season.
Are you going to make it to the 2005 Cruise Fest at Bowling Green?
Yours sure shines like a new penny for sure, black is still my favorite color even though it is impossible to keep clean, but when it is there is nothing finer!!!!! I love cleaning it and waxing it, but I love driving it better!

Bill

Mine too; the afternoon would work for me after you get Rains pair done, or does he just what the black one done?
Rain you got a pair of choice looking Vettes my man! I like the black one better but I may be partial some! When are we going to be able to hear a live performace? Do you drive both of the Vettes or is one the little ladies?
