Subject:  Rattle in Door When Window Partially Down 1964 Corvette

TO ALL DENVER ZONE CHEVROLET DEALERS

A light rattling noise may occur in Corvette doors when the windows are partially down. This rattle may be caused by interference between the window regulator arm and the door lock remote control actuator attaching screws.

This noise may be eliminated in service by removing the door trim panel and replacing the existing 5/8" long screws with screws 1/2" long. Refer to Figure 47 on Page 1-22 of the Corvette Shop Manual (1963) for screw location.

All Corvettes built after mid-October, 1963 include the shorter screws.
