Early this morning, Chevrolet dealers received the latest consensus deck outlining production and constraint updates for the remainder of 2022 Corvette and the start of 2023 Corvette production.

According to the document, the month of January saw an increase in Corvette production by an additional 60 units and the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly plant has been running at full production since December 22.

Starting on 2/7/2022, RPOs 5JR – Carbon Fiber Outside Mirror Covers and RZ9 – Carbon Fiber Grille Inserts (3LT only) will be available for ordering once again.

Constraints

Supply chain issues continue to plague Corvette production as well as all automotive production across the board.  Between black trident wheels, splash guards and various carbon fiber accessories, GM’s supply chain continues to make ordering new Corvettes a challenge for customers.  As per the consensus deck:

Effective January 24th: Rear Park Assist deleted due to chip shortage
– Invoice and Monroney label credit of $50 per vehicle
– Estimate for retrofit parts availability: Q4 2022

0% constraint on ZZ3: Engine Appearance & Lighting Package
0% constraint on 5ZZ: High Wing Spoiler in Carbon Flash

As we first reported nearly a month ago, the Engine Appearance & Lighting Package would no longer be available for orders due to the company that manufacturers the carbon fiber components ceasing all carbon fiber production by January 31st.

As a result, orders with both RPO ZZ3 and 5ZZ – High Wing Spoiler, will have these options removed from their respective orders prior to placing with allocation.

2023 Corvette Key Dates (Tentative)

With all of the production setbacks that the 2022 model year has seen, it’s no surprise that Corvette fans are eagerly awaiting the start of 2023 Corvette production and hoping for a much smoother production run.

As outlined in the consensus deck, the 2023 Corvette dealer ordering guide will be available on March 21st followed by the ability for dealers to start placing orders in GM’s Order Work Bench system on March 24th.

As previously mentioned, 2023 Corvette DOSP remains set for March 31st and the Adjusted Day Supply (ADS) model for allocation remains in effect.  The Z06 will not have a separate allocation cycle unlike the previous C7 Z06 Corvette did.

2023 Corvette Z06 Dealer Tour

If there’s one shining light in this dismal past year of Corvette production it’s the introduction of the 2023 Corvette Z06 and the Corvette Z06 Dealer Tour set to launch on February 18th.

2023 Corvette Z06 CoupeSimilar to the 2020 Corvette Dealer Tour, two pre-production 2023 Corvette Z06 models will take to the roads to make an appearance at 146 Chevrolet dealerships across the U.S.

Just like the 2020 dealer tour, a huge display will be set up at each dealer showcasing a Z06 surrounded by the various color and option packages for customers to view.

For more details, contact your local Chevy dealer to see if they’ll be participating in the tour.
