ELECTRICAL FEATURES INFORMATION

THIS SHEET DESCRIBES SOME OF THE UNIQUE ELECTRICAL FEATURES THAT YOUR NEW CORVETTE MAY HAVE. IT IS INTENDED TO BE AN AID TO NEW BUYERS. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR OWNER’S MANUAL FOR A MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTION IF IT IS REQUIRED.

CUSTOMIZING YOUR VEHICLE TO YOUR PREFERENCES

Your vehicle may be equipped with a number of features that you can set to your own personal preference. You may use the OPTIONS section of the driver’s information center to change these settings. For further explanation of these features please refer to your owner’s manual.

REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY

Your Corvette is equipped with Remote Keyless Entry, You must use the buttons on the key fob to actuate the locks from outside the vehicle.

Your dealer should have programmed the key fobs during the vehicle preparation. If the key fobs are not working. follow the instructions in the owner’s manual or in the key fob packet to program them.

If the vehicle loses battery power, if the key fob is opened up. or if the key fob battery is replaced, you will need to resynchronize (RESYNC) the key fob.

RESYNC

Press and hold the lock and unlock button simultaneously for about 10 seconds while near the drivers door of the vehicle. The horn will beep when the fob is reset. The key does not have to be in the ignition.

MEMORY (optional equipment)

3 positions are available for memory storage - 1, 2, AND 18L2

Each memory position will hold drivers seat position (does not include lumbar or side bolsters on the optional sport seat), outside rearview mirror position, telescoping column, and radio presets.

When the vehicle is keyed on, the radio station, volume, and HVAC will return to the last positions known at key off for each of the three memory positions.

SETTING

Adjust the seat, mirrors, and telescoping column. Push and hold the memory button on the door switch until the light(s) above the button(s) flash. Now set the memory presets on the radio, they will automatically save to the memory position you just set. The memory is now set. For safety reasons, if you recall the memory while the vehicle is in motion, the seat and the column will not move.

GETTING TO THE MEMORY POSITION - The system will work differently depending on whether the EASY EXIT feature has been turned on in the OPTIONS menu.

EASY EXIT TURNED OFF - The memory settings can be retrieved in 2 ways, (l) push the unlock button on the key fob twice without the key in the ignition, or (2) push the memory button(s) on the door switch and the seat, mirrors, telescoping column and radio presets will return to the settings that match the fob. If the vehicle was left unlocked by the previous driver; and you have not pushed the unlock button on the fob twice, you will need to either push the memory button(s) on the door or push the unlock button on the key fob twice to return the seat to your memory position.

EASY EXIT FEATURE TURNED ON - When the easy exit feature is turned on; if either the unlock button on the key fob is pushed twice without the key in the ignition, or the memory button(s) on the door switch are pushed, the seat will move to the easy exit position approx. 60 mm rearward of your memory position. Also the steering column will move to the full forward position if you have the power telescoping feature. You will see a solid light over the memory button(s) on the door switch. If the vehicle was left unlocked by the previous driver; and you have not pushed the unlock button on the fob twice, you will need to either push the memory button(s) on the door or push the unlock button on the key fob twice to return the seat to your easy exit position.

Once the key is inserted into the ignition and the door is closed, the seat, mirrors. telescoping column, and radio presets will move to the memory setting. You will see a blinking light over the memory button(s) on the door switch. Remember the memory positions will not take effect until both the door is closed and the key is in the ignition.

HVAC SYSTEM (CJ2 - Auto temp control)(optional equipment)

The A/C light will come on in automatic mode even if the temperature setting is higher than the outside air temperature. This is done to dehumidify the air.

The A/C light will be on when the system is in the defrost mode, this allows the moisture in the air to be reduced and helps the car to defrost quicker.

COMPACT DISC PLAYER (OPTIONAL)

As a tip, after inserting the cartridge into the player, wait until 2 - 3 seconds after the disc symbol on the radio face stops flashing before you push the CD/AUX button to activate the player. This will avoid a possible false error message.
