C6 Brakes-Rotors

Have a 2005 with Z51 package.
How do you get the rust off of the rotors?
How can it be prevented?

You can't unless you live in a desert. A quick drive will remove the rust.

The metalurgy requires high carbon steel, not stainless.

Or you could go ceramic rotors like on the new Z1 for $20,000!

Mine too. Just means I have to drive it!!!

I see the same thing. I always make sure to ride my break up the driveway to clear off the rust. Works well and doesn't return as long as the wheel is dry. Hope that helps.

Yep, same thing here. A short drive around the block after washing and they look good as new again!
