C5 Ventmaster

Has anyone used the Ventmaster on a c5 coupe. I had one for my c4 and it was a snap to install. I bought a set used for my c5 with no instructions and cannot figure out the Chinese puzzle as to how they hook on. No search of the Internet has come up with any instructions, does anyone has instructions on ow these install. In looking at various sites that sell these, they appear to be the correct ones for the c5 but the only video I could find was for a c6 and it is not the same. Help!

Z06LVR, are you talking about the 2 "U" shaped brackets that fit on the hatch latches on the C5 coupe? I have a pair of those, love them because they really cut down on the buffeting with the top off, but hate them (well dislike them a little) every time I try to put them on. I'm going to Florida this coming weekend, and will video the installation and post it to youtube if you want me to. Once you have it figured out, it's easy to do but not so easy to describe. Let me know......

I have since found that the pair that I bought only fits 97 and 98 Vettes. Apparently the latches changed in 99-04 on the rear deck lid. Ventmaster shows two part numbers for the two versions, however I would still like to see now these install in case I run across the right pair. So thanks in advance if you can youtube a vidoe of the install!!!

Well, mine's a 2000 so it should be the same as yours. I'll video one side, put it up on youtube, and then let you know. It probably won't be up on youtube until Sunday the 16th or Monday the 17th. Getting to Florida and my car late Friday the 14th. Just found this......... maybe it will help.........

try this picture as well. The top adapter COULD be the latch on your hatch. The bottom adapter will look the same when it's on the hatch latch.

as either something else to replace the ventmasters, or to use in addition with the ventmaster.
I, personally, don't have any experience with this one, but I've seen a few in Florida. I understand that they attach to the same locations that the top attaches to.........
