Visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In 2008, the Pro Football Hall of Fame celebrates its forty-five years of excellence in honoring the legends and preserving the history of professional football. Throughout the 45th anniversary year, the Hall of fame will conduct special events celebrating its storied past while promoting the organization's exciting future.

Since opening in 1963, the Pro Football Hall of Fame has grown in both size and stature. The building was expanded in 1971, 1978 and 1995; and a major gallery renovation was completed in 2003. Together, these improvements have transformed the original 19,000 square-foot Hall of Fame museum into an exciting 83,000 square-foot internationally recognized institution and travel destination.

Today, the Hall of Fame stands as a shining tribute to the men who have made professional football America's most popular sport.

ProTeam Classic Corvette Collection:  The world's largest collection of classic Corvettes can only be found at ProTeam Corvette Collection in Napoleon, Ohio. Their entire stock of 1953 to 1967 Corvettes are stored in their climate controlled indoor showrooms year round, for your convenience. ProTeam also carries 1968 to 1982 Corvettes as well as other pre-owned C3, C4 and C5 models. Many of their Corvettes have been beautifully restored to like-new condition and carry prestigious honors such as the Bloomington Gold Certification, the coveted NCRS Top Flight award, and the Triple Crown designation.

A trip to the world famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a nonprofit organization that exists to educate visitors, fans and scholars from around the world about the history and continuing significance of rock and roll music. It carries out this mission both through its operation of a world-class museum that collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets this art form and through its library and archives as well as its educational programs.

She was built in Detroit by the Great Lakes Engineering Works, River Rouge, Michigan in 1925 as the flagship for the Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Company. The Mather remained the Cliff's flagship until the Edward B. Green (now the Kaye E. Barker of the Interlake Steamship Company fleet) was built in 1952. She remained an active part of the Cliffs's fleet until the end of the 1980 navigation season.

A caravan to the USS COD Submarine Memorial - U.S.S. Cod (SS 224), named after the world's most important food fish, is a World War II era GATO class fleet submarine. The 312-ft, (95-m) 1,525-ton submarine began her life on July 21, 1942 when her keel was laid at the Electric Boat Co., Groton, Connecticut. The USS COD Submarine Memorial is a National Historic Landmark and is docked in Cleveland, Ohio

Hotel Reservations:

The Corvette Action Center's CruiseFest V will take place Wednesday, June 25, 2008 through Friday, June 27, 2008 in Cleveland, Ohio. It's time to experience CruiseFest with "Progress and Prosperity!"

A block of rooms has been arranged at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland Airport Hotel, conveniently located in Middleburg Heights just 3.5 miles from the Cleveland Hopkins (CLE) International Airport, I-480, and the Ohio Turnpike (I-80).

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! It reopened in January 2008 (as a Crowne Plaza) after being completely gutted and rebuilt to the tune of $7 million! Everything inside is new! CruiseFest attendees will be essentially getting a brand new hotel with only 6 months of usage prior to your arrival! Everyone will enjoy the experience! Plenty of free parking, indoor pool, work out room, and beautiful lounge area and onsite restaurant were all part of the renovation.

The rate for us is $99.00 and includes a hot breakfast each morning and on Friday, June 28, there will be a free outdoor BBQ consisting of hotdogs and hamburgers.

Please note that all of Ohio has become non-smoking in all public places of business. The larger hotels (ones with all the amenities) are generally following suit. While the Crowne Plaza Cleveland Airport Hotel is a non-smoking hotel, the owner graciously conceded to some smoking rooms this one time and ONLY for CruiseFest attendees. If any smokers can refrain completely from smoking except outside that would be great. There will be a $100 deposit required for a smoking room, which will be refunded upon check out, assuming no cigarette damage occurred. Damage refers to cigarette burns. Potential smoke odor is to be expected and not considered "damage".

A reservation can be made by calling 440.243.4040 and asking for the Corvette Action Center Block.
