On 290 hp Corvette engines used in 1959 and 315 hp used in 1960 - 1961, the cover setting of the fuel injection thermostatic coil, that provides cold engine fuel enrichment, should be adjusted to 3 1/2 notches lean from the index mark on the cold enrichment housing (Fig. 2). The cold enrichment coil setting of 1 1/2 notches rich will still be used on all fuel injection engines of lower horsepower.
