Condition:

Some customers may comment that the deck lid is not flush with the left-hand quarter panel when it is closed.

Cause:

The single strut used on the left hand side of some 2003 models may cause the deck lid to not be flush with the quarter panel.

Correction:

Open the deck lid and inspect the right hinge for the ball stud provision that allows for installation of a strut. If the ball studs are missing, replace the right hinge with P/N 10426104, hinge assembly. Remove the single strut from the left side hinge. Install the struts, P/N 10278149, on the left and the right deck lid hinges. The replacement hinge and struts were used on 2002 models.
