The compass on the radio display may always show North (N) regardless of vehicle direction on some 2014 Regal, LaCrosse, ATS, CTS VIN A, SRX, XTS, Corvette, Impala, Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models. This condition affects the following radios: RPO IO5 (Regal, LaCrosse, CTS VIN A, XTS, Impala, Silverado, Sierra), RPO RAO without UY4 – Navigation (SRX, Corvette); and RPO UA3 without UY4 – Navigation (ATS).

The compass direction when the navigation icon is selected should indicate the vehicle direction. Reprogram the radio with the latest calibrations using TIS2Wev to address this condition with the compass.
