Recall Notice: 2015 Corvette Recall - Loose Toe Link Outer Ball Joint

The Detroit News is reporting that GM has issued a small recall notice for 2015 Corvettes due to a “toe link outer ball joint on the rear suspension may not have been properly tightened during the assembly process. The toe link may loosen with the vehicle use and eventually separate.”

The recall affects only 43 Corvettes built in the United States, two Corvettes currently within GM’s possession in Germany and one Corvette in Canada. All 46 of these Corvettes were built between Sept. 26 and Oct. 2.

A loose toe link outer ball joint could reduce the Corvette’s stability and steering control and can cause a loud metallic noise coming from the rear suspension when the car is driven around corners or over bumps and potholes in the road.
