- 05-08-2013: Listed for sale for 195,100 by Tom Kazamek of Manhattan Beach, CA with unknown mileage on the odometer. From the listing: "This is a very late production car, #290 of 300 produced. It runs and drives well and still looks great. It is rare to find an original-looking 1953 Corvette; most have been over-restored to be far more perfect than they were built by Chevrolet, losing the authenticity of the original cars. This car has the charm and authentic-feel of the original and you can still see the hand-laid fiberglass through the polo white paint. The car has minor cracking in the paint which is typical. Chrome is in very good condition. The original engine has the correct codes and dates, and the car comes complete with the original side curtains and spare tire. This car was previously owned by NASCAR’s Mark Martin and displayed at the Mark Martin Klassix Auto Museum in Daytona Beach, Florida until the museum closed on 2003. The car has been part of a private collection in Southern California since 2008. It was restored in the late 1990’s by Mark Martin and has only been driven about 800 miles since the restoration was completed. Recent work in 2018 includes new brake cylinders on all four wheels, a new battery, a valve job, and brand new Al Knock seat covers. The car is currently stored in Southern California and is available to be viewed by appointment. Please only bid or come and see the car if you are serious about owning it. The car is represented accurately but is sold as-is with no warranty."
