Default Wil Cooksey in Motorcycle accident

Wil cooksey was in a motorcycle accident and is currently in intensive care…..

Our prayers are with him…here is a small update:

Recently retired General Motors Plant Manager Wilmer “Wil” Cooksey from Bowling Green, KY and International Council Corvette member, was injured a few days ago in a motorcycle accident. Cooksey is in Vanderbilt Medical Center Hospital Nashville Tennessee.

Wil’s surgery went well; he will remain in ICU under observation for a few more days. In the next 2 or 3 days Wil should be transferred to a private room.

Please continue to hold all phone calls to the family and the hospital until further notice.

Liz Cooksey thanks everyone for their good wishes.

Oh my God! My prayers go out for Wil and his family, he is one truly classy gentleman. I only had the honor to meet him once, when he visited us during Cruisefest 2006 in Bowling Green.

I met him briefly at CruiseFest06 in BG - nice fella and a great ambassador for the Corvette!

Glad to hear he's recovering at home now. I wish him all the best!

Very sorry to hear about Will's motorcycle accident. I have owned a bike for years but stopped riding about 15 years ago. Living in a large city (Chicago) did not afford me many opportunities to ride without the threat of getting hurt.

Anyone know any details of the accident?

AFTER RECOVERING FROM HIS ACCIDENT, I AM SURE WILL WILL BE SAVING THE !

Glad to hear Mr. Cooksey is home recovering. Thats gotta be a good thing!

I had bikes since I was 8 yrs old. Finally gave it up in 05 and bought a Vette. Figured I quit while I was ahead. Never laid a bike down on the street. Thank God. Haven't looked back and still have no desire to ride. BTW, in the fire service, we call bikers "organ donors" for very good reason. No offense to the bikers out there.

How many bike-riding Vette drivers out there? Lots, I'm sure. As with piloting a Vette in cop-country, riders can never let their guard down since there's just too much incompetence ( and cell phones ) out there. I wish him a solid recovery and further enjoyment of his chosen activities.

I hate to hear that , do you know the extent of his injuries?

I laid my Harley down on Feb 6 , concussion, herniated disc in the neck, broke collar bone, 8 broke ribs and a torn shoulder. I can definatly feel his pain..

Suzy and I wish him a speedy recovery, the hospitals can do wonderful things now.
