This custom 1958 was named Eye Candy and it most definitely was. For power it has a 6.2-liter 556hp LSA supercharged engine with 5-speed and an Art Morrison chassis. Unfortunately the engine was hidden under a cover of the type that seem to be so popular these days and you couldn't see the good stuff. The hammer dropped at $225,500.

Here's a great 1969 L88. This was one of the few reserve cars at the auction and the bid price did not meet the reserve so it was not sold. I can't say it better than the Barrett-Jackson catalog description so here it is.

This is one of 116 1969 L88s produced. This Corvette is equipped with a 427/430hp L88 with factory side pipes, and the original red line tires that came on the car. With only 16,482 original miles, this car has undergone a rotisserie restoration by Kevin Mackay of Corvette Repair. The car achieved a Triple Diamond status in 2013 with a NCRS Top Flight Award, Bloomington Gold Award and was also featured in the February 2015 issue of 'Vette magazine. The car was originally delivered to Jennings Chevrolet in Glenview, IL. It is equipped with the following features as delivered: L88 heavy-duty engine, M22 heavy-duty transmission, J56 heavy-duty brakes, heavy-duty suspension, K66 ignition, N14 side-mounted exhaust, alarm system, red line tires and LeMans Blue with black vinyl interior. This particular car has the original engine, transmission and the rear assembly still intact, as well as all the factory fiberglass. (Barrett-Jackson)

Here we have one of the Corvette stars of the Auction, a 1963 Z06 Tanker. $385,000.00

With VIN 9046, this 1963 Corvette split-window Z06 tanker is powered by a 327/360hp "Fuelie" with a 4-speed manual transmission. It's finished in Sebring Silver with a black interior. It has been body-off restored by Naber's of Houston and is in pristine show condition. It's won multiple NCRS Top Flight Awards at regional in January 2013 and October 2012. Bloomington Gold Certified (Appears OEM) in June 2012, it also won Best in Class awards from Santa Fe Concorso in September 2012 and Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance in November 2012. Additionally, it was on display in the National Corvette Museum in 2013 with letter of appreciation. Options include power brakes, power windows, T-10 transmission, 4.11 posi-traction, Z06 heavy-duty brakes and special heavy-duty suspension, N03 36-gallon gas tank, radio delete, aluminized off-road exhaust, tinted glass, hubcaps and 6.70x15" blackwall tires. One of only 199 RPO Z06 Special Performance package Corvettes and one of only 63 N03 Big Tank Corvettes built in 1963. This former Eric Gill car from the 1970s has history and old photos back to 1969-70. It's documented with volumes of research and show data. It's also been editorialized many times, as far back as 1977. The restoration receipts total $138,000 and all show awards, certificates and judging sheets come with it. With a production date of February 18, 1963, it was delivered new by Kardon Chevrolet of Mt. Holly, NJ (dealer code 343 in zone 15), per the official NCRS/GM Shipping Data Records (SDR). Looks, runs and drives like new(Barrett-Jackson)

I love this one. A 17,900 mile 100% unrestored original survivor 1967 435 with all of it's factory applied paint and still sitting on it's original tires. Wow! $176,000.00 bought it.

Here's the car from my photos in post #14. It hammered for $220,000. Here's the description.

This heavily pedigreed 1962 Corvette known as "Elegance," has many subtle custom modifications that might be overlooked due to its seamless sleek design. Finished in a one-off color called Champagne Mist, this custom piece is powered by a 500hp LS7 with street and performance polished accessories mated to a polished 4L65E automatic transmission. Rounding out the engine bay is a polished aluminum radiator with stainless air conditioning lines. The exhaust system is polished stainless with custom one-off tips, and suspension is a fully polished C4 on a custom molded chassis. The sleek design and body modifications on the front of the piece are extreme, including removing of the bumpers, with solid grille rings accenting the front with matching side grilles. The coves were also fitted with custom billet inserts. The body modifications include widening of the rear quarters by 2", raising the top body line 1" and lengthening it 1". All body lines have been peaked and/or modified. The wheel openings have been tastefully altered to accept larger wheels and the inner fenders custom-made and molded to the body. All bolts on the piece are polished stainless, the hood and trunk latches removed, and actuators were installed under the side of car completely molded. All the wiring is hidden. Headlight rings were custom-made to eliminate the need for screws. A custom engine cover was fitted with an emblem that matches the side emblems. The beautiful leather interior was all custom-made, including seats and console. Billet spears throughout the interior match the billet side moldings. The headliner and trunk are all leather with one-off billet accents. The car's awards include Detroit Great 8, Top Ten Builder Choice in Del Mar, CA, Top Ten Builder Choice in Loveland, CO, and Gold winner at Corvette Nationals in Chicago. It was also a feature car at the Hot Rod & Restoration Trade Show in Indianapolis, IN, feature car at SEMA in Las Vegas - Meguiar's Car Crazy TV show and Top 12 of Mothers' Shine Award at SEMA, special guest at Long Beach MotoRama and featured in the November 2011 issue of Super Chevy Platinum magazine. Awards accompany the car. The piece has been driven over 700 miles since competing in the show circuit, proving its road-worthiness. This is a one-off, stunning, heavily pedigreed 1962 Corvette. $137,500. seems like a lot of money for a 327/300 car even if it is a 1963 Split Window. It's credentials told the story. It has earned 10 NCRS Top Flight Certifications, a Bloomington Gold OEM Gold Certification, Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Gold Concours and Triple Diamond Award.
