Flag Serious dirt on the revolutionary next-gen Vette

GM’s head of global product development, Mark Reuss, confirms that the company is working on the next Corvette. Our sources elaborate on this salient piece of information, telling us that, after 61 years of evolution, the C8 will be revolutionary. The new Corvette will be the mid-engined American Dream Machine that Chevy couldn’t, until now, muster the courage to build. In truth, the factory is still not prepared to detail what’s coming, which is why you’re looking at the 2017 model year through our freshly waxed crystal ball.

As we are almost to 2015, unless Chevy has already put some serious time in the program; 2017 is aggressive.

Hot and cold cycle testing, emissions certification etc...

I hope it's an addition to the line, cuz most of us don't have the price of admission to the rear or mid engine club. If it's over $125K base with no base Vette for us great unwashed, it's game, set match for the Vette.

That rendering is sofa king cool.

Wy do you think Chevy has been running mid-engine prototypes for the last two years in ALMS?
