"CALLAWAY INVITES CORVETTE ENTHUSIASTS TO PREVIEW NEW CALLAWAY PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS AT CARLISLE

Carlisle, PA (August 22, 2003) – Callaway Advanced Technology (CAT), the Connecticut-based performance engineering firm, is debuting selected products from its soon-to-be released Callaway line of aftermarket high-performance products and systems at the 22nd annual Corvettes at Carlisle celebration, August 22-24, 2003 in Carlisle, PA. Several of the new Callaway-designed, manufactured and dyno-tested performance upgrades will be displayed in the Callaway exhibit as well as installed on a 2003 Corvette Z06. Corvette and performance enthusiasts are also invited to stop by and see first-hand how Callaway engineers, utilizing the latest PTC PRO/Engineer® solutions, take these new products from concept through production. And, visitors can also take an up-close look at the potent 480-hp 6.2L Callaway C12 as well as an even more powerful 6.8L engine concept.
These new Callaway products have been specifically engineered to seamlessly enhance any C5-based model’s performance. The product line will include an ultra-high output engine top end package, fresh air inlet system, headers and suspension components, interior treatments, under-the-hood carbon fiber enhancements, a high-performance wheel and tire package, competition-grade brake and exhaust components and more.
“Corvette’s 50th Anniversary year is the ideal time to introduce our new Callaway aftermarket product line,” said Mike Vendetto, product manager, Callaway Cars. “The Corvette’s ability to inspire passion over half a century has always been because it is such an exceptional platform for showcasing how great performance engineering can transform a superb volume production car into a thoroughly personal statement.” For 17 of those years, Callaway has been making the best even better by applying its vision and expertise and creating a number of memorable successes, from whole vehicles to parts and systems.
Callaway and Corvette became partners in 1987 when the companies introduced the factory-option Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette to rave reviews. During its five-year run, enthusiasts ordered over 500 of these coveted Corvettes. One of the most memorable Twin Turbos was the one-of-a-kind 880-hp Callaway SledgeHammer, which became the world’s fastest street-drivable car by clocking 254.76 mph—after being driven to the track on several hundred miles of public roads. In 1992, Callaway unleashed the Callaway SuperNatural® Corvette, conceived and developed as a complete car, which in turn inspired the winning Callaway LM. Examples of many privately-owned Callaway cars will be on display all weekend at Carlisle’s “Fun Field,” the meeting point for the annual Callaway Owners Group gathering.

That's great that they're moving into the C5 market place. Should be a busy and fun weekend! In the press release I noticed they left out the part about the Callaway Corvette owners being able to test drive the C12 to demonstrate it's full capabilities.

The New exhaust that is offered for the C5's has to be the BEST looking design I have ever seen for a new Vette

The filler piece really finishes off the look - the carbon fiber tid bits are badddd too - Now all I need is a C5 to put all that stuff onto
    ...wonder if anyone would notice
