Default Memory seats and telescoping column

Recently purchased '08 base coupe. Telescoping steering column inoperative. Power seats function properly. When trying to set memory driving position and exit position I get all the appropriate beeps but the seat, mirror, telescoping column and exit memory functions dont seem to work. Remove fuse - looks ok - install new fuse anyway, and the telescoping column retracts by itself. Operate column with switch, it comes out a couple of inches and then stops. Again totally inoperative. Also other memory functions beep but remain inoperative. Remove fuse again - looks ok - reinstall fuse and scenario repeats.
Is this something I can fix myself (i.e. soft stops or something?) or should I take it in to the dealership (UGH!) and have them fix it under warranty? Thank you.

I would say if it is under warranty let the dealer fix it.

Hopefully you have a competent shop nearby, sounds like the issue is definately a warranty item. Might be just a balky control module.
