Default clutch fluid on driver floor

Hey guys. Have not seen this one before on threads. 01 Z06 31,000miles. Changed my clutch fluid as prescribed on forums. No problem. Now my pedal is sticking and I think clutch fluid is dripping on driver floorboard. Not much but I do see it. I did not overfill. No leakage around cap. Thanks to everyone who posts previous problems with the fixes, sure does help.

Not sure what you mean by "Changed my clutch fluid as prescribed on forums" so I'll ask this: did you change the clutch fluid the proper way by accessing the slave cylinder bleeder screw inside the bell housing and flush the new fluid it through the slave cylinder, or just change the fluid in the reservoir? Clutch fluid dripping inside the vehicle and onto the driver side floor board indicates a leaking clutch master cylinder. Good luck with it.

Just replaced fluid in reservoir. Didn't have any trouble until I did this. Is this a big job, the master cylinder.

It's a fair sized job, unless you have done it before you may want to pay a specialist to do it as bleeding it can be a chore. Before replacing it, pull down the hush panel inside the vehicle under the steering column and follow the fluid up to it's source and clean it all up thoroughly. Use the clutch multiple times (driving it if possible) and see if the fluid leak returns. If the fluid does not return immediately and the vehicle is driveable, I would leave the hush panel off and drive it regularly and see if the leak comes back. Good luck with it.
