Defect Codes C5

Can anyone tell me where to find the Defect Codes for C5's on the internet. These are the codes which can be found in the car's computer system on the dash-board after retrieving them from the car's computer, which tell us what is wrong or needs attention. I know the Defect Codes are in the dealer's service manual, but I need to know what my car's computer is telling me before going to the dealer.

They are "Diagnostic Trouble Codes" rather than "defect" codes.
