Default DIC / Active Handling Warning?

Has anyone else ever had this happen when you first start you C-5. When I first start my 2003 in the morning, I sometimes get a DIC warning "Active Handling warming Up" then about 45 seconds later it displays another message, "Warmup Complete" ! but the really strange thing is that it only happens once in a blue moon. It might happen this morning, then never happen again for a month of more and sometimes it come on twice in three weeks. I at first thought it was caused by cold weather, but it happens warm or cold, day or night. never at the same time or on any perticular dates? Anyone else have this odd behavior? It not a problem, just something I found as odd. If I press the active handling button, the system turns off and on again with out any malfuction. The light on the dashboard lights up at startup and goes out once the c engine is running, just strange ?

Hib, usally around here being so close to the Alantic Ocean, we get temps down to around 10 to 20 degrees for the harshest period of winter, but mostly the winter temps are around 25 to 45 degrees. Today, it got up to 60 degrees, but yesterday it only made it to 40 degrees.

From page 4-11 in the manual (for 2001):

When you first start your vehicle and begin to drive away (6 mph (10 km/h)), the message ACT HNDLG WARMING UP may be displayed in the DIC, the instrument cluster light will be on, and a chime will sound. This is normal. You can acknowledge this message by pressing the RESET button. The Active Handling System performance is affected until the message, WARM UP COMPLETE, is displayed in the DIC.

The ACT HNDLG WARMING UP message may be displayed in the DIC after exceeding 12 mph (20 km/h) for 30 seconds. The Active Handling System is off until the WARM UP COMPLETE message is displayed.

It doesn't, however, explain the "may be displayed" reasons.

Try checking your grounds. My car did for quite a while and it turned out to a grounding problem.

    A long answer...

What what the outside air temp when you saw that warning on the DIC?

If you start the car and immediately drive forward with the wheels turned sharply, it will cause the "Active handling warming up" message.

Thank you. I thought I had read all of my owners manual, but I obviously missed this part!
