Default How should I handle this situation???

I dropped my car off at a local dealership with an oil leak.
They called me two days later with a price quote of $950.00 to fix the leak
They claim they have to replace the Crank case seal, opti and water pump seals to stop the leaking. I decide that is too much money and I am going to change it myself with some help from a couple friends.
I arrive at the dealership on Saturday morning to pick it up, unrepaired....
The service advisor walks around back with me so I can check the oil levels before I take it home. I open the hood and check the oil level.....
There was not one drop on the dipstick and tons of metal shavings at the end of the dipstick!!!!!
I showed the service advisor and she said that her manager wouldn't be in until monday morning. I tried to hold my tongue but I just stated who is going to pay for this!!!!!!!!!! She told me to come back on Monday morning to talk to her manger.
What should I do?? Find a good lawyer or what

Another dealer kill! Check the mileage on the work order and the car! I bet the drove the hell out of it. If it has more than a few miles, run dont walk to a lawyer.

    WHA THA FU**!!!!!!!!

    1) Have your attorney with you when you go in Monday AAAAND!!!
    2) Make dang sure you're their 30 minutes before they open so you can keep an eye on your car. This way, some tech can't slip back there and put oil in the car BEFORE you, your attorney and the Service Manager walk back to see it together.
    3) Whoever cranked your Vette up to move it on the back lot should've heard the grinding of pistons (sorry) and shut the car downIMMEDIATELY.
    4) WHY MOVE IT AT ALL?!!! What ninny even drove the car OUT OF THE SERVICE BAY without oil in it?!!!!! Whatever tech broke the car down for the oil leak inspection is SUPPOSE to sign off on the service order. Find out who this was. Find out if he/she moved the Vette.
    5) And don't bite your tongue come Monday. Be civil, but let these folks no you mean bidness!!!
    Good Luck!!!!!

Everything he listed is good. Make sure you check the milage. Take a camera. If you can get pictures of the shavings that will help your case out.

Just a thought bring your last gas reciept with you check milage on work order.
Go to the service manager not the service writer.
Make sure you took your key's with you when you were their, or go to the service area and demand the keys to the car they should be at the cashier.
Then go to the service manager.
The dealer was checking for an oil leak, no driving should have taken place.
The dye would have been put in the oil at the service drive and you would have been told to drive the car so the die (green in color )would show when the black light was put on it.
Be calm cool and collected state the facts I brought my car to you in
(good faith) when you use those words the manager will know where you are coming from!
For you it is emotional don't go their just be cool.

They have a work order on the car look for the tech's number and that is who had the car last, but not who drove it ,the lot lizzard is the last to drive the car.
Sounds like the service advisor is on your side or he would not have said anything be cool.
Do not sign anything no matter what .

I drove it to the dealers. I checked the oil before I drove it to the dealers and it was fine. I didn't check it when I dropped it off, its only about 10 miles to the dealers from my house.
