    Default adjusting rear ride height

Pardon me if this has been discussed before..

I would like to settle the rear end of my 86 down a hair and i cannot remember weather i need to tighten or loosen the nut on that long bolt
at each side on the leaf spring.. i apologize for my lack of correct mechanical jargon..

    any help would be appreciated..

Is it really that easy? How much can you possibly lower the rear with the loosening of a bolt?

Also, can that be bad for the car since it was not designed that way?

Just Curious, the stock hight is already low enough for me!

It really is that easy at least in the rear, however the stock bolts only allow for minimal lowering, those who like them lower add longer bolts. Whenever the ride height is changed the alignment should be checked and adjusted.

i purchased the lowering kit sometime ago, had it installed and fell in love with the way it made my car look..

just settled her down a tad and match the C5 wheels.. much to my surprise i dont scrape over speed bumps or driveway transitions & she does not ride harsh or bouncy. I will admit i was a little hesitant at first but i my car felt soft anyway so this seemed to help along with some econo-KYB's i put on.
