    Default Custom steering wheels?

Any one here ever replace the original steering wheel with an aftermarket custom wheel? I have been thinking of finding a wood wheel like the ones in the 60s and 70s. Any thoughts on this, can I do it or is there a problem I don't know about? I have a 89 coupe and want to kind of like to personalize my Vette a little more without going to over board.

I have an 89 vert and recently replaced the steering wheel with an aftermarket lookalike wheel from MAD. I didn't have any problems or see anything other than the horn connection there. Go for it. Try to get a guarantee in case something ain't right when you get it.

Some aftermarket wheels (like a Momo or others) require an adapter. Talk to the manufacturer, they should be able to help.

If you so replace the wheel there is a guy on Ebay that sells a really nice replacement horn button that fits any 2" wheel. It has the early red C4 logo and a chrome trim ring.

What did you look for to find that?

Sorry I should have mentioned it!
I did a search for "c4 corvette" and just went through each page.

BTW if you do the C4 search dont be tempted to buy the billet engine oil cap with logo from guy in florida...it was poor quality and the guy never sent the right one..had to get pay pal to reimburse.

There is also this guy that does REAL CARBON FIBER... and anything else!
I have always been afraid to ask how much!
