    Mercury Marine introduces an AUTOMOTIVE crate motor at SEMA descended for the
    famed LT-5 DOHC Corvette motor. MM was tasked w building the motor in the early 90's by
    GM. Now Mercury Marine introduces the next generation. Wow!

    9.0L...I wonder how big the engine is and how much it weighs.

    I think its somewhere around 700lbs. You can see at SEMA this week.

    Short blurb in 2/2014 Hot Rod on it. 9.0L Quad Cam 4 valves per cylinder. 552CI engines offered in 3 trim levels: 1100HP, 1350HP & 1650HP.
    Price (are you ready for this?): $65,000 estimated for the 1100HP version. That's 3 times the price of my first house!
