    Default Crosssfire Function Issue

Odd issue, 82 completely stock will only start and run with fuel pump fed power directly from 12v source. Once started you can then quickly re-connect the harness and it will continue to run. I've gone through all the parts that I can think of but am stuck. Voltage is good, brand new battery, fuel pump relay checks out. Anybody got an idea that I haven't thought of?

sounds like the relay has gone bad.its supposed to run the pump for a few seconds, prior to putting the key in the start position.
when you turn the key on,you should hear the pump run.and once it has stopped, start the vette.
you might want to check out the cross fire injection section on this website...good luck
