Distributor not working with Tach
Just bought a 1973 coupe that has a non working tach. Upon checking out the distributor, I find that it does not have a mechanical way of turning the cable for the tach. So what shoud I do in order to have the tach working. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

You have two choices:
1:Get the correct tach drive distributor for your car(sounds like someone removed yours and put in a regular dist.
2:Change your tachometer with one from a 75 that dosen't use a tach drive cable.

If you go w/ option 2, be sure your distributor can send the correct signal for the '75+ electronic tach.Save the wave

After thnking about the two aforementioned choices you will probably conclude that the easiest (time wise and aggrivation wise) and the least expensive will be to change the distributor, and you would be correct.
