    Barkingrowl,

The NCM will apply your family membership, plus what you have outstanding in renewals toward your lifetime membership. If you just go to the NCM each year for the Labor Day Celebration within a few years the membership has paid for itself. Plus the membership fee is tax deductible.

I P/U my Corvette on 12/07/05 @ the muesum. I was told that I would recieve a one year membership at no charge and would I like to become a lifetime member, hmm I said, let me try out the one year (free membership, remember I just spent 70,000) and see how it goes and I'll re-up. Well almost a year later and I have recieved nothing. I'm no where to be found in there system. O well enough about me, I would highly recommend delivery at the museum but the follow up needs some garlic.

Did your delivery person pull out the sign up card from the glove box? Did you fill it out and give it to him or send it in? The free membership is done via a card meeting GM specifications that they insert in a specific order in the owners package. The card has to be filled out and turned in for us to create the membership.

Please contact me directly, roc@corvettemuseum.com or ext 162. I am not in membership, but will look into it for you. I am the Events Manager and will be very tied up with the Labor Day event but I will return/reply to an email or voicemail and work on your case next week.

BTW, the NCM carries the cost of the free membership, GM and the dealer get the $70k.
