I yanked a nail out of my tire and heard the air rush out. Is there a chance of damage driving the car without air about 10 miles to a Goodyear Dealer, as my floor jack wont fit under this car? Let me know. thanks

GoodYear advertises that their runflats are good for up to 200 miles. There are limits about speed and hard cornering however.

So - no problem!

You should be all set, just drive at a reasonable speed and you wont have any problems!!!! :w

Had a nail pulled from a run flat today, dealer said it could not be repaired or plugged. I new tire was required. $535.00.

Any comments??Unless the the hole was caused by a huge nail, it should be reparable. However, do not plug it but use an inside patch. Once a runflat has been punctured, the speed rating is decreased. The price of $535.00 is ridiculous. The price should be around $335.00 or less.

If your other tires have some miles on them maybe you should look on ebay. There are some used Goodyear EMTs availible for cheap.

I had the finishing nail removed at the Goodyear dealer. The drive there with the flat was uneventful. The tire/wheel was removed from the car on a ramp, then the tire was taken off the rim, patched from the inside - not plugged, remounted, balanced and placed back on the car. Price $ 44. and done in 1 hour. I see no reason why your tire could not be patched. Let me know more

DaveDave, you should be good to go now. Sounds like your Goodyear dealer knows the runflats. Careful now, don't exceed 140mph.

I think that the location of the hole is what matters. If it is in the middle of the tread, they will repair it. If it is in the sidewall or the shoulder, they will not. At least that is what the Goodyear sales dude told me.

Never pull nails etc out unless you plan to repair it yourself. Did you go to the Goodyear on Memory Lane. They are very good. I got my new tires from there & they did a great job mounting them on my new chromes with no scratches. I was very pleased with their work.

Yes, the Goodyear on Memory Lane. Very Friendly. I am looking to get some Z06 Chrome rims and I will have them mounted. What are the odds I can find them at Spring Carlisle so I dont have to buy on ebay ?
