UP on a Harley would have been awesome! We hit St Ignas the weekend b4 their major car show, but we still got a pretty good sized cruise-in. Pictured Rocks was like being in the Grand Canyon, but on a boat. Stunning to say the least! Another thing I thought cool was some of my pictures along the Superior shoreline could easily be mistaken for shots along California's Pacific Coast Highway.

The real mind boggler tho, was their average snowfall...and last winter's snowfall. I have absolutely NO idea how anyone living above the Mason / Dixon line manages to exist! Heck, I don't even remember what it was like to scrape a windshield!

To the others who responded to this thread, thank you for your input. Hankooks are on the way.
If you get up that way again, there's a roadway worth the effort of seeking out. It was great on the Harley and I'll bet it would be nearly as good in a Vette.

As a Canadian, I have respect to the folks who live in the UP for their annual snow accumulations. That and their propensity for interesting names. Who knew that both Hell and Paradise are in Michigan??

Common sense is like deodorant. The folks who need it most never seem to use it and there's no polite way to tell them.

Looks like something I was on last week in NC. http://youtu.be/nHnknd1VQqA

The name thing was Very interesting to me in that UP inhabitants refer to themselves as YOOPERS and those who live S of the Mackinac Bridge as TROLLS. Probably a function of all that snow!

Nice video... and, yes, it's like that... plenty of curves, changes of elevation, some areas of intensive tree coverage with interspaced openings on wonderful rural views.

    Da Yoopers and da Trolls...
