Default Welcome to the new 40th Anniversary Corvette Forum

Since there really isn't a specific area on the web that I'm aware of for discussion of these special Corvettes, I thought I'd take the liberty a start a forum here.

We'll see how it goes and hopefully it will take off like the Callaway forum did.

    Sweet!

This is great news for the 40th owners. You guys need to post pictures of your cars, they are a good looking Anniversary model!

Over the last couple of years, I've been asked by several members to start a forum for the 40th Anniversary Vettes. I've held off until now.

If it's popular, great. If not, I'll kill it.

    No sweat off my back...

That in itself makes them special. I looked at tons of C4s until I found my Ruby and that is what sold it. I think a dedicated forum just on Ruby Red's is a great idea.

Here is my take on this - It affords a Ruby owner a chance to share some ideas and thoughts on what may work specifically for the care of some of the unique trim pieces. It also serves as a place to put Ruby stuff up for sale to a specific market - and also ask for stuff that you might need vs. getting lost in other threads / areas.

I guess the most important thing it may do, is to serve as a "meeting place" for those interested in discussing the cars and such in a focused arena -

Those are just the thoughts on the tip of my tounge... from a fellow Ruby Owner

Even though I don't own a Ruby, as a Grand Sport owner, I know I appreciate having a special place to go to discuss our beloved cars (Grand Sport Registry) and to share ideas, trade, sell or look for special GS "things". It's the same for the Ruby Reds, too, I think. Enjoy the new forum!

For those interested in the "true' 40th Anniversary Corvette, those '93's with the Ruby RPO option can visit the following URL to learn all there is to know about the "Ruby Red Corvette". It is: www.40thregistry.com

In my own humble opinion there is a mystique around the Ruby Reds. Sure, its a 93 C-4 Corvette and yes there were over 6000 made so a rare car its not. But that aside it is a special car, it celebrates 40 years of Corvettes in a special way other than embroidery on the seats like all other 93's had. Its a special package with a special meaning. No other American Sports Car can say they've been around like the Corvette can.

I used to have a 72 Mustang Mach One and other than stripes and special "do-dads" it was still a 72 fastback but the mystique of having it say 63R on the data plate and Mach One on the stripes was still something. The same can be said about the Ruby Reds, they are unique.

The "true" 40th registry is great but not as active as the CAC. I've been trying to collect ruby promotional items and this may be the forum to get them other than ebay...not to mention a place to visit with other folks that love the Z25 option. The 40th registry has been recently updated before that there was not that much going on. It did list specific info about these cars as the goal was to find and list all 6,749 that were produced. You can also search by vin the car that was produced before and after yours. I apprecaite the registry...Save The Wave!
