    Default ruby special???

That in itself makes them special. I looked at tons of C4s until I found my Ruby and that is what sold it. I think a dedicated forum just on Ruby Red's is a great idea.
Just one guys opinion. I've owned and restored over 30 corvettes since 1974 when I bought my first 59.I've been looking at these cars for over 30 years.
For my money the 1993 ruby roadster with hardtop on is one of the most if not the most stunningly beautiful corvettes ever built. I love a sweet 57 or a cool 65 fuel car and the Fellows Z06 for 2007 is very striking. Line them up in your favourite colours and tell me the ruby doesn't catch your eye. This combo is a sleeper with only 2179 roadsters and 976 hardtops sold. Hey just my opinion TIME WILL TELL!!!!!See thread "show your ruby"for pics

Thanks for the forum Moderator! My Ruby was (and still have) the first Vette I bought, in '99 with 17K on her. I always loved the color, kind of like a color GM used and was popular on their 1977 cars(at that time they offered leather seats in that color). I brought my Ruby to a Corvette show-no judging-and was spotted and later featured in the Nov '01 issue of Corvette Fever. I'm just a proud Popa! Best of all, my wife just loves riding in it!

    Default WHAT IS IT???

What is it about something that is almost 15 years old and is just like new.
I know for me it's like getting a new 1993 Corvette at a real discount price, although some guy paid $35,000 for a Ruby vert with only 5,000mi. last year.

Gee Whiz!! he could have bought a new Honda.

I guess if you really like the car the money is somewhat irrelevant

    Could we be talking COLLECTIBLE.???

    Default MUD ???? GUARDS

I prefer to call them debris deflection devices.
Actually I made them, I wanted something effective to protect that first few feet of sill moulding, but not be too noticable.
I cut a template from cardboard, then went down to my local plastics shop.

Don't know what it.s called but it's black, opaque, plastic, fairly flexible, shiny one side, pebbled the other and about 1/16" thick.
Cut and trimmed them out at home jig saw, bench grinder, then polished.
    Took about 2 hrs.
Took out 3 inner fender bolts (2 different torx head sizes)and installed them in about 20 minutes.
The whole thing cost me about $28.00.

Count me in. From the proud owner of possibly the only 40th anniversary vette in IRELAND (I'll wait to be contradicted on that one!) I have never even once met another vette of any description on the road here!

    Default Let the fun begin!

I'm thrilled to say I now have a Ruby Vette! I just picked up a nice '93 a week and a half ago. My first Corvette, and every much the thrill I'd imagined.
