Corvette Club of America

The Corvette Club of America (CCA) was established July 17, 1956 and has been in continuous operation for over 60 years. The CCA is an energetic group of Corvette lovers that fosters an environment of fun with activities centered around our favorite cars. We welcome all Corvette owners to our Corvette club and encourage them to take advantage of our monthly meetings, shop nights, social gatherings, competitive events, and more.My name is Bob Atwell, President of the Corvette Club of America (often known as CCA). We feel that Corvette Club of America is the oldest Corvette club in the world and we celebrated our 60th Anniversary on July 17, 2016. We held our first meeting on July 17th, 1956 -- only three years after the Corvette came out for sale in 1953. Back then our club members raced against other sports cars such as those that belonged to the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and the Porsche Club of America. As you can see it seemed right at the time to call ourselves Corvette Club of America.CCA has always been about pursuing our automotive passions and having fun with our Corvettes. We do this by planning fun activities that appeal to a broad range of interests. We offer social events, car shows and speed events. Our Social events include brunch, winery, dinner cruises and Holiday parties. CCA sponsors fun car shows as well as participating in shows sponsored by other clubs. CCA sponsors speed events including Autocross Primer Classes, for those new to Autocross, holding Autocross Competition events as well as High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) events. We are a non-profit organization and we like to give back to the community by supporting local charities. Among our current charities is the Wells/Robertson House, Hospice Caring of Montgomery County, and Toys for Tots. In addition we sponsor an endowment for students of mechanical engineering at the University of Maryland. We are a lifetime club-level member of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky as well as "One Acre Club" member club for the NCM Motorsports Park.

Corvette Club of Arizona

The Corvette Club of Arizona (CCA) was founded in 1975 by a small group of local Corvette enthusiasts. We have grown one into of the most respected and active car clubs in Arizona. CCA is a member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC), Roadrunner region. Our membership spans the entire metropolitan Phoenix area. CCA members present a full calendar of events and activities designed around the enjoyment of their Corvettes. Some of our activities include car shows, weekend tours (called “drivers” by the club members), various forms of competitive events, picnics, charity events, and a variety of outstanding social gatherings. Two major events take place each year. The Magical Mystery Tour (MMT) is a three-day driver (usually around Labor Day) to a location known in advance only to that year’s organizing couple. Along the way, there are side trips to mislead participants as to the actual destination, rally questions which need to be answered, and other activities, all combining to deliver a delightful weekend. Past MMTs have found participating CCA members in Las Vegas, Queen Mary, and at many other locations. The Awards Banquet, held at a local area resort in December or January, is a time for all club members to gather to review and celebrate the past year’s activities and achievements. Board members and other Club members who have distinguished themselves during the year are recognized. Many members elect to stay overnight at the resort, and rooms are usually made available to members at a preferential rate.

Corvette Club of Delaware Valley

As the racing season wound down in the fall/winter of 1958, a group of about 25 Corvette enthusiasts including Bob Levin, founding member and first CCDV Vice President, wanted to keep the excitement of racing alive on a regular basis. Together they formed the Corvette Club of Delaware Valley (a.k.a. CCDV) in December of 1958. You can count on one hand, the number of Corvette clubs that date back as early as CCDV. The original club met in Philadelphia at Sonny Stein’s Chevrolet, the Club’s first official Chevrolet sponsor. In the early years, Bob and others worked hard to strengthen their passion for racing as well as to introduce other events to the small but passionate membership. In those early days, they designed the official club logo and created the club newsletter, The Gas Cap.Sonny Stein is certainly credited as the first sponsor of the club, but Bryner Chevrolet of Jenkintown, PA is and has been the official Chevrolet club sponsor since 1971. Also in 1971, CCDV members wanted a more exciting way to show off their cars other than riding up to the local Hot Shoppes. They sought a more organized event. As a result, they launched the 1st Annual Cavalcade of Corvettes. It was held in the show rooms at Bryner Chevrolet. At that time, the show was often referred to as “the Bryner Show”. The Cavalcade grew quickly in popularity and consequently has been hosted at a number of locations since that time. The Cavalcade was renowned as the largest two-day indoor Corvette Show on the east coast. It was the first show to exhibit every year and model Corvette (coupes, convertibles and special editions) from 1953 to the present year. The indoor show has enjoyed as many as 125 pristine Corvettes indoors accompanied by an outdoor corral of over 300 Corvettes. The judging format established during the early years of the Cavalcade became the guidelines from which other nationally acclaimed judged events were based, such as NCRS and Bloomington Gold shows. The club also has strong ties to many well-known Corvette enthusiasts. The late Chip Miller of Carlisle Productions was an active member in CCDV in his youth, and to this day the Chip Miller Family retains his honorary membership. Allen Shepard, the first US astronaut to enter space was a member in the 1960s. Roger Penske, of Penske Racing, was a member of the club in the early years.
