Space Coast Vettes

The Space Coast Vettes Club was organized in 1973 by our first President Jerry Allen. He felt that the Melbourne area was ready for a dynamic Corvette Club and survived their first year by conducting car washes and other events to raise money. The Space Coast Vettes Club had later filed for incorporation with the State of Florida on May 19, 1977.The club’s constitution describes our purpose adequately: “To provide its membership an opportunity to participate in organized competition and promote greater enjoyment of their Corvettes.” “To promote and participate in community activities in order to develop a greater understanding and spirit of cooperation between the community and all automotive enthusiasts.”Membership applications are not available online: either attend a meeting to become a member or contact us via email for additional information.

Spirits of '53 Corvette Club

The Spirits of 53 Corvette Club traditionally has been a social organization with members participating in car shows, rallies, tours, and tech sessions. What brings the club the most pride is to help special causes such as young children who have special needs. This financial support comes from the proceeds of their Annual Corvette Show. The club was originally based in South Brunswick at the apartment of one of the three founders, all of whom lived in town. They were Ron Pientka, Richard Arcadu and Richard Denike. Its beginning actually took place in late 1973 when, unbeknownst to the other two, each founder had purchased his first Corvette. The common bond among the three was a Sunoco Station where they bought gas. It was at this station, Larini’s on Route 27, they met and compared cars, a brown 1974 coupe, a gold 1969 roadster and a white 1969 coupe. One discussion led to another and eventually the subject of a Corvette Club was mentioned. After reviewing the limited number of clubs available and what they offered, it was decided there was a need for a new, well organized, active club in this area. The three formulated a basic format on which to develop a membership campaign. Leaflets were left on Corvette windshields. One of the first “meetings” of the fledgling club was held at the Mid-State Mall parking lot and succeeded in attracting a number of Corvette owners. The following have served as President of the club: Walt Donovan, Wayne Weidmann, Andy Bencsko, Ken Kotacska, Ken Pfeiffer, Dale Moffatt, Larry Castrovinci, John Datz, Rich Parrillo, Rich DeSimone, Richard Paul, Jim White, John Niemiec, Kevin Moran, Mike Beltranena, Mark Denno, Armand Graziani and presently John Bieglecki.Laffin Chevrolet, South River, became the sponsor of the club during the presidency of Wayne Weidmann and remained a faithful sponsor until their doors closed in 2009. Meetings were held at Malouf Buick, Pierre’s Restaurant in South Brunswick and are presently held every first Tuesday of the month at the North Brunswick Moose Lodge 263 Old Georges Rd in North Brunswick. The club traditionally has been a social organization. Since its inception, members have participated in such activities as car shows, cruise nights, rallies, races, picnics, holiday parties, Broadway shows, casino trips and softball games against other clubs.

St. Croix Valley Corvette Association

The St. Croix Valley Corvette Association (SCVCA) was originally formed by a small group of Corvette enthusiasts in 1973. The original members all lived in the "valley" area around Stillwater, MN and shared an interest in promoting and displaying their love for the unique Corvette automobile. In the beginning these young men simply drove their Corvettes to a meeting place in the valley area to show off their Corvettes. The old logging "Boomsite" area north of Stillwater was the initial meeting place. The first president was Jerry O'Shea and the meetings were moved to the Stillwater VFW Club. The VFW was the clubs-meeting place for some 20 years.Today the meetings for the StCVCA are held on the third Tuesday of each month (except December) at 7:00pm at Stillwater Motors, which is located at Hwy 36 and Co Rd 5. The SCVCA welcome any inquires from interested Corvette owners and invites them to attend any of our meetings or events as a guest. This Association is non-sectarian, non-partisan, and non-profit, and is not limited to any specific area. The general purpose of the Association shall be for the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of America's only true sports car, and to further the traditional and competitive aspect of Corvette ownership through club and social activities. The average size of the SCVCA has been around 70-80 members. The SCVCA has taken pride over the years in being a "family oriented" club, while also providing interesting events for the adult members. Road tours followed by lunches are a very popular outing for the SCVCA members and their Corvettes. Such events are, attending Corvette swap meets and shows, and the Fall Color Run. Every year the SCVCA members participate in the GMCCA car show and swap meet at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in June. In August we host a Corvette show at Stillwater Motors, our club sponsor. The StCVCA takes pride in giving back the community by donating money to charitable organizations such as food shelf programs, Make-a-Wish Foundation and others.

St. Louis Corvette Club

The St. Louis Corvette Club was established in 1953. We are lifetime members of the National Corvette Museum and members of the National Council of Corvette Clubs. We enjoy our cars tremendously, but most of all we enjoy the friendships that we’ve created through owning an awesome American sports car. Whether it’s a friend in our club, or speaking with other Corvette owners, there truly is camaraderie among Corvette owners everywhere. We delight in taking our Corvettes on the road from daytrips to week long excursions. Wherever we go, you can always be sure that somewhere along the way we will enjoy beautiful scenery, laughs with friends, and great food and drink! As we host many different events, you decide the events that interest you and partake as you please. We are proud supporters of the men and women that have served our country. We are honored to have many of those Veterans as members of our club. At the Jefferson Barracks Medical Center Spinal Cord Unit in South County we have established a garden area for our veterans and their visitors. We also participate in the annual Veterans parade in Downtown St. Louis and have the privilege of driving Gold Star Mother’s and Father’s as they remember and honor their children.Throughout the year we support several charities including adopting a family during the Holiday Season.

Activities are varied as they include attending local Cruise Nights in neighboring cities and towns, Corvette specific car shows (locally, regionally, and nationally), activities with other Corvette clubs, drag racing, and numerous rides to various locations including the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are an active supporter of local charities including: the Star City Motor Madness and many other local and regional organizations. While our main goal is to have fun with America’s only sports car, we go beyond that. We support each other, we promote America’s FIRST sports car –Corvette-, we support the National Corvette Museum, and we support our community. Our Club meetings are the second Saturday of the month at Berglund Chevrolet in Roanoke, VA.
