Lake of the Ozarks Corvette Club

The Lake of the Ozarks Corvette Club (LOCC) had its beginnings in late 1999 when Mary and Parker Darr (Co-founders) and Larry Lembach (Co-founder) decided to start a Corvette Club in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Although they did not have contact with any other Corvette owners at the time, they researched the topic and decided to start an advertising campaign utilizing television and newspaper ads, fliers, and word of mouth to promote a possible club. On January 10, 2000, they started a club with 2 Corvettes, one a 1989 and one a 1999. Rudy Willingham, who was a local business owner, saw the ad and came up with a list of potential members. Contacts were made from that list and from response to the ads on television and newspapers. The club had its first meeting at the Arrowhead Lodge in the “Wood Room” on April 9, 2000. To their delight, a total of 13 people showed up and the following individuals joined Parker, Mary, and Larry to become Charter Members: Betty and Bob Goble, Kerry and Benita Shannon, Marty and Peg Klaus, Eddie and Linda Smother, and Rudy Willingham. During the last decade, the club has grown to its present membership of 195 people. The club is essentially a hobbyist club. As the club has grown over the years the challenge has been to stay true to its original purpose and goal of enjoying the camaraderie of other Corvette owners, to drive our cars and enjoy them on the road. We have a membership which is focused on staying true to these goals and our intent is to continue that tradition. The club actively attends and participates in community events such as the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals, the Hot Summer Nights events on the Bagnell Dam Strip, the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the annual Christmas Parade held in Lake Ozark, and the Fall Follies held in Laurie, MO. Numerous members of the club attend a number of other car shows and events in the surrounding region as well. Scholarships have recently been granted to several students from local Technology schools that are going on to advanced training and education in the automotive field. The club has just completed the initial development of its web site.

Lake Shore Corvettes

Lake Shore Corvettes began with a gathering of Corvette owners for a picnic in June of 1967. That year the decision was made to form an all volunteer non-profit club and incorporate. Over the years the Club has increased in membership. Currently, we have around one hundred members, owning 70 cars from 1953 through 2011.Lake Shore is primarily a social organization. We enjoy the camaraderie that the cars bring us. The Corvette has introduced us to many different people. We like to get together for dinners, trips, concerts, parades, and other social events. In the past the Club was active in auto-cross and drag racing and there is some interest in getting back to that. We are also been active in local level contributing money and volunteering services for people in time of need.

Lake Tahoe Corvette Club

Lake Tahoe Corvette Club (LTCC) was formed in 1989 by a group of Corvette enthusiasts from the Lake Tahoe and greater Carson Valley area, all of whom shared an interest in an American heritage: The Chevrolet Corvette. We began with approximately 20 members in 1989 and as of 2016 we have 84 members. Some of our members reside out of the area and participate with the club when in the vicinity. Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, March through November, at the Casino Fandango in Carson City. We meet for dinner and social hour at 6 pm followed by the meeting at 7 pm. Our meetings last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. In December we have a big Christmas partyLTCC has become quite well known for hosting one of the premier car shows on the West Coast. Our first car show was a one-day event held in 2003 with 40 cars registered. We have a faithful following of participants who attend our CORVETTES AT LAKE TAHOE car show on a regular basis. At their request, we expanded the show to a 3-day event with lots of fun activities for all to enjoy. In 2007 we, unfortunately, had to cancel the show at the last minute due to the Angora Fire which destroyed over 250 homes in South Lake Tahoe. However, thanks to the generosity of those who had registered in the 2007 CORVETTES AT LAKE TAHOE car show and our members, we were able to donate $7.500 to the victims of this disaster.Over the years, our show has grown so popular that in 2015, we had 220 cars registered. This has allowed us the opportunity to support our community by donating all car show proceeds to local charities. We are a non-profit 501c4 organizationDuring the year, our other social events include Drive & Dines, usually drives to local places of interest and enjoy lunch or dinner along the way. Once or twice a year, a weekend adventure is planned. We also participate in Hot August Nights and the Reno Auto Museum. In 2005, a brick was placed in behalf of LTCC at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.We encourage guests to get to know us by attending our meetings and events and new members are always welcome! Check the 'Calendar' page on this site for meeting and Drive & Dine times and locations.

Lancaster County Corvette Club

Thirty six years ago a local physician and an automobile mechanic who had a love for Corvettes ran an ad in the local newspaper which said " Attention Corvette Owners, any year, interested in starting a local club please give either of us a call. From that ad, a group of twenty-five Corvette owners came together to form the Lancaster County Corvette Club (LCCC), which is currently celebrating its thirty-sixth anniversary. Shortly after its formation the club voted to join the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) and continues as a 100% club to this day. The current membership is 167 of which several are founding members. Club members own Corvettes ranging from a 1953 model to 2013 models and most years in between, pace cars, race cars, anniversary cars, and custom cars. LCCC member vehicles cover the Corvette spectrum. This year club members will conduct 10 national sanctioned events and 4 regional sanctioned events consisting of 6 low speed autocrosses and 8 people choice fun shows. Club members actively participate in both high and low speed events, drags, and concours, plus numerous parades, homecomings, charity events, and at least one social activity each month. This year two of our club members participated in the Tire Rack sponsored One Lap of America event and several members of the club attended the 2013 NCCC national convention held in Bowling Green, KY.When the club was formed a decision was made not only to support Corvette related activities but also to be an active supporter of local charities. From the very first event a commitment was made to donate either twenty-five percent of the proceeds to a selected charity or $25.00, which ever was greater. The commitment to support the selected charities continues to this day. In fact in past ten years alone the club has raised and donated over $260,000 to charity and in the process has won the Golden Eagle Award presented by Eagle One twice for this region. Additionally for the past 10 years club members have taken part in the Great American Cleanup of Pennsylvania, Adopt-A-Highway program and have collected over 1100 bags of trash along our adopted section of highway. So when you think of Lancaster County, PA think of more than the Amish, buggies, and whoopie pies . Think of those fiberglass beauties with the horses under the hood - Corvettes and the Lancaster County Corvette Club.
