Confirmed: Corvette Racing Will Enter the C8.R at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The Corvette C8.R will compete for the very first time ever at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans in August

According to the official entry list for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race taking place this coming August, Corvette Racing will compete for the very first time at Le Mans with the Corvette C8.R.

According to the list, the Corvette C8.R will compete in the LMGTE Pro class along with Porsche and Ferrari.

Last year, GM made the decision to skip the 24 Hours of Le Mans due to scheduling conflicts after the race was moved to September and because of the current pandemic conditions with traveling at the time.

While the Corvette Racing team has a long history of competing at Le Mans, this will be the first time that the all new mid-engine C8 Corvette platform will get a chance to prove itself during the famed 24-hour race.

Last week, it was uncertain if they would return to Le Mans this year due to a scheduling conflict with an IMSA race at the Virginia International Raceway scheduled for the same week.  That race has been pushed back to October.

Being the most prestigious 24-hour race in the world, we couldn’t be any more psyched to see Corvette Racing bringing the C8.R to France this year!!
