On the heels of our post the other morning outlining consensus and production information for the 2022 and 2023 Corvette, earlier this morning dealers received notice from Chevrolet confirming production dates for both model years.

2022 Corvette Production

  • 2022 Model Year Build Out Date:  5/6/2022
  • Final Consensus Month/Cycle:  March/1
  • Final DOSP Cycle:  3/17/2022
  • In-System Return Cut-Off:  2/18/2022

2023 Corvette Production

  • 2023 Model Year Start-Up Date:  5/9/2022
  • Initial Consensus Month/Cycle:  March/2
  • Initial DOSP Cycle:  3/31/2022
  • Order Entry Availability:  3/24/2022

Based upon this information, it appears that dealers will be able to start entering 2023 orders into GM’s Order Workbench System starting on March 24th.

Along with the 2023 production dates, the 2023 Corvette dealer order guide is expected to be released on March 21st and the online configurator on March 24th.

Historically, the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly plant has always taken a week or two off in between model year changeovers, but it appears that GM is wasting no time at all jumping from the 2022 to 2023 Corvette model years.

2023 Corvette Z06 Allocation and Production

With the C7 Corvette generation, Z06 allocation was separate from the base model Stingray allocation and allocation numbers were based upon a dealer’s previous year Z06 sales numbers.

With the C8 Corvette generation, Z06 allocation will be included in a dealer’s overall Corvette allocation numbers.  Given GM’s desire to continue with their plan to use the ADS (Adjusted Day Supply) model to determine a dealer’s allocation numbers, it will be interesting to see how this will affect dealers that have sold large numbers of Z06 Corvettes in the past.

We’ll continue to update our readers as more information becomes available to us!
