GHL makes the most beautiful exhausts systems in the world - AND they make power too. Relative to the the big three after-market builders, GHL is a modest operation, but they supply exotic car owners around the world (including race teams) with systems for Porsches and Ferraris, among others. I bought the C6 system because of the reputation of the C5 system. actually went to the plant to pick up the system - it was the second one made for the C6. Out of the box it's a work of art. The welds are perfection, and the whole unit is polished like a jewel. Installation is really easy because the two muffler elements are welded into a single unit - no alignment problems with the tips! Unlike some other C6 units, GHL routes the exhaust THROUGH the muffler, not in and out at the same end...that can't be good for flow volume. Installation is about 20 minutes, start to finish with a lift. The sound.....like my 455 Olds big block!!! The sound is throaty, but mellow. It has the motorboat sound at idle, really healthy at full song, but "wife approved" quiet at cruising speed. All really free flowing exhausts for C6s have resonance, some really deafening, but GHL has really minimized it to a less than 100 RPM band that is out of the cruising range. I made several multi thousand mile tours with my on-board noise monitor (my wife) with no problems. There is a separate model for A6 cars, which really suffer from the drone problem. That model also minimizes drone, but does not eliminate it. I've owned systems by the big three plus GHL, and I'd never buy anything but GHL again.
