CAC Group parking at FunFest 2010. Sept 17th-19th

Anyone that is planning on coming to the event a little early, we could use some help on the grounds for some last minute set up. I will need help with my new tents as well if I don't get them set up earlier in the week. I have not unboxed them yet but they weigh about 100 lbs each.

Got the weekend off work.

Should be leaving St.Louis about 3 pm Fri.

Jen and I might be able to split out a bit earlier, but no guarantee on that. I have a good friend that's gonna be in town that same weekend, so depending on his schedule, our time to get together may interfere with me leaving earlier than planned. I won't know until right up to that point. But I'll be there Thursday sometime for sure.

John / Scott, what is the protocol for ensuring that we get directed to our group parking? Are we supposed to show something at one of the gates? Do we receive something in the mail? Do we just say, "Hey, I'm with the CAC!" ???

I was getting ready to get a room in Mattoon as Effingham was full when I last cheched last week but luck prevailed and I just booked a room at Days Inn in Effingham.

Looks like there were some cancellations.

If you still need a room it may be a place to check.

Hi all I hang out mostly in the C1-C2 section but I do have a C3. It will be at Corvette Funfest in the For Sale Area. 72 Ontario Orange BB Auto. Anyway, that is not why I am posting. If you are attending Corvette Funfest in Effingham IL. PLEASE just stop by the For Sale area and say Hi and that you are a CAC member.It is always good to see fellow CAC members and put a face with a name. Hope to see you there. We have a group of us staying at Days inn. Along with 4 guys from Austria. Mike Terry

We're planning on bring both of our corvettes...putting the 96 in the For Sale section and the 03 in the CAC club parking area.

Sorry about the late reply, been out of town... again..

The registration packet should have your gate number to come in on it.
We will be coming in Gate 5. John and I discussed this on Saturday. People that registered recently had a place on the registration to put down club parking and will get a Gate 5 sticker in their registration packet. If you did not get a Gate 5 sticker and wish to park with us , just tell the person working the gate that you are with the CAC and show them your Gate 2 sticker or what ever they sent you. Just tell them you got the wrong sticker ..

In the past we have had something on here that you could print out to show that you were parking with us. I will be at Mid America tomorrow and will address this issue and see if there's a fix for those who do not have a Gate 5 sticker...

As of Friday, Days Inn had about 30 rooms free , thanks to someone holding a block of rooms and then didn't use them ... oops !

MAM was supposedly going to include the club name on the window decal so that we didn't have to print out window fliers this year. However, at the time that I registered the form didn't really provide a clear place to enter the name of the organization even though I had selected club parking. Therefore I just put it in the additional instructions field. We'll see if it made it on the decal or not. I'll work out the back-up plan with MAM this week and post instructions. We'll most likely need to print window flayers as we have done in the past.

My brother and I will be arriving on Thursday for the fun run and parking with our club but will come by the CAC area to meet some of you.

Has anyone received their registration packets yet? Is MAM just slow about getting them out??
