Plenty of drinks will flow on Friday night. May be a few on Sat. night after the Concert

You, Greg, John, and myself, that is 4 C4's

Most likely be the C3 for me this year. With all the work I have yet to do on the house I doubt the C4 will be done by FunFest.
All fast cars are fun but, an old Vette is a work of art.

Just wanted to share this important information with this group - I heard yesterday that there are still 10-12 Suites at the Hilton in Effingham that are open for Corvette Funfest and that Holiday Inn Express in Effingham has several rooms still open. If staying at Holiday Inn Express, book your room online, it is cheaper than if you call them.

Wow! Those won't last long. If anyone is looking for a room I'd snatch one up quick.

As those of you that attended last year know, a wind storm destroyed our tents for club parking.
    We have tents again !!

    I bought 2, 10 x 20 tents
We are hooked up, downside is ...these things weigh 103 lbs each..

John, please add at least 4 more spaces to our area for our "tent guests"

Scott: I didn't know that we lost tents in the storm lasts year. Have you bought the new tents out of your pocket? If so, I'd be willing to chip in something to offset the cost of the tents. I can't speak for others but let me know on this.

And as for dirty tires, no problem this year as my new aluminum trailer will drop my car right into the CAC parking without it ever turning a wheel. And as John already knows, Super 8 has a wash spot with hose, etc. all ready for us.

Did you get that VIP thing worked out for again this year?
Look for me at Fun Fest '12, I'll be parked on the finish line!"

I went to get the tents on my way home that Monday morning and they had been totally destroyed, it took a while just to untangle them so we could throw them away. Mike and Nancy also offered to help with the cost of new tents, I really like the tents I bought better than the ones they are offering now.
The other tents were getting older and would have been needed to be replaced anyway.
I do appreciate the offer but it is all good..
I also bought weights to hold the tents down so maybe we dont have to have ropes hanging everywhere to trip over.

Now you have a trailer and trailer tires to clean too..

    What VIP thing?

Will do. Now we just need to round up some more cars.

What's up CAC. The traffic on this thread is really down from previous years.

    Glad to have ya!

You'd have to see how clean Steve keeps his car to fully appreciate why we are teasing him about finding a single dust particulate on one of his tires. Of coarse it's actually a vicious lie. His tires were spotless as always.

I have been talking to Mid America about doing some work on my C4 and now since the details are ironed out I can tell you.

I will be having a new Torch Red and Black interior installed.
Jill Winter from Performance Choice sat down with me and helped me creat a new interior for the Vette and I am so excited about getting it installed during Funfest !
Come on out and watch the interior go in !! I know it is about as exciting as watching grass grow to some but I am pumped !

Red and black two-tone is gonna look great. I'll look forward to watching it go in. Did you reconsider adding more sound deadener?

Hi John, I just saw your reply..
I think I will need sound deadener now for sure.
My cat was .. ummm ..kinda clogged up and I might have put a "test pipe" (looks just like true duels with a Corsa Stainless System) in its place until I can get a new cat put on and finish trouble shooting the car...
    It is LOUD !

I am pumped about the new interior ! I am also getting new seals and a carbon fiber dash trim kit.

I plan on having all 3 of my Corvettes there this year, plus the camper...

    Logistics ...??..

    I bought another trailer ...
