Did they have to go get it or were they able to blast it (ultra sound and break it up)? Assuming it got measured means they went in after it.

They went in but were unable to get it (go figure). I actually passed it on my own and took it in for analysis. It came back as 6.5x5x4. Once it reached the bladder, it wasn't too bad. God bless morphine and codeine. The others were roughly 4mm each, peice of cake.

Continuing the Stent and Stone comedy series.
Went back to the sitting position for the night on the couch, actually love seat to fill the night hours. At 4 all was fine and dandy. Ok, maybe a miracle occured and it dissolved. Lay down on regular couch. About six the nightmare was back. Maybe 8 at this point. Force myself erect then hang onto the TV cabinet till body components get back to some normalcy. Off to the bathroom. Aah, will this be the time? Scream and relief. Not to be. Have some breakfast, not for enjoyment of a meal but survival. Now feels fine once more. Waiting 4 pee results.

    6.5mm is about 1/8" That's a biggy. Mine was 4.5mm x 2.5mm and it felt like a basketball with thorns. Can't image how a 6.5 felt.

I'll now go get a big glass of water, thank you.

Roger that one, I slam back about 60oz. a day, minimum. And lots of lemons and limes in everything. Funny thing is the doc told me to cut back on my coffee, caffienated sodas, and salt intake. I told him I don't drink caffiene except green tea occasionally and have never added salt to my food in my entire life. He then gave the diagnosis of a heavy stone producer. Hooray!

Bob - consider yourself fortunate that you can eat. I tossed everything on the ER floor. Good luck and just remember, "this too shall pass."

I put down about 2 liters a day. Don't drink much coffee or salt much. I don't wish that on my worst enemy. Bob, those of us who have been there feel for you. Get those things out and then get on the water train.

My doc put me on this supplement. It's not cheap but neither are ER visits.

Fortunate! Yeh. Usually, things could be worse.

Has anyone noted the group, Stent and Stone, playing at a particular time of day as mine does between 2 and 6 am?
Not all pain is at that time but the bad is.

Actually yes, my stone related ER visits have always been between midnight and 3am.

Dont they say "things always look better at closing time".

Mine was 5 this am. The group "stent and stone" is getting a little better. Not quite as much pain. They draw a very small crowd and bring in little revenue.
Big toes, especially right, is painfull for a short time at times.

Hopefully the u. test results will be forthcoming today.

Rather large area of the incission is black. Covers about an acre.
The other site has a thread going about horses and one reads the horse drinks 35 gal per day. Bet he doesent have a comedy group. Maybe the riders.

? Do U strain ur looking for granules or particles?
    No.
Dr is a teaching Dr so he comes in at 1.
Talk to him and get back to U.

Same scenario as 4-5 yrs. ago.

Got two stents myself. Could feel them for over a year. Have had 3 heart attacks and 3 of the arteriorgrams; they are a cake walk if you ask them to put you to sleep before they start and wake you up when its time to go home. But those pressure bandages are a terror, especially when you try to get them off. They always take the top several layers of skin with them.

    No stones (yet?).

Got a tear gland hernia in my left eye though and recently had an eye surgeon botch the surgery on it.

The body starts going downhill at about 50 and just keeps accelerating. I had a real bad rollover accident 3 years ago and that made it a lot worse.

However, my first heart attack is what motivated me to buy a brand new Corvette, so there are some positives to life changing events.
