This is not to far from me, saw all this in the Fort Wayne papers.

    Bummer for sure,

Vettefan87 and I are about 10 minutes from where this happened. I originally heard on a news cast that speeds were around 130. A dumbass for sure on any street in the city and those especially.

Anyways, a couple people I work with heard of the crash and said they thought of me right away, being Craig Shriver and the driver was Craig Schmidt.

I also heard the speed was originally in excess of 130mph during the chase, talk about driving it like you stole it; uh?

Brilliant conclusion by the local PD -- they believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. Wow. They discount the railroad tracks that he hit causing him to lose control of the vehicle. At least a train wasn't coming.

He may not even had seen or noticed the tracks either, sounds like he was hauling the mail for sure.
