Default Shout-out: Get well soon Kevin!!

Maybe you all will remember that my Corvette Go-To-Guy is my friend Kevin. I've mentioned him many times in posts regarding maintenance and care of Cinnamon Girl. I first met Kevin more than ten years ago when he was recommended to me by the owner of the '94 I'd just bought - my first Corvette. He's been an invaluable resource and in my book he ranks right up there with the CAC for accuracy and dependability. But it's more than that... over the years I've come to trust him without reservation - if he says my Vette needs this or doesn't need that, I never second guess him.

A couple of years ago, a guy I worked with asked who handles my maintenance because he was having problems with his C4 and was looking for a dependable shop to handle repairs. Naturally I recommended Kevin and gave him the phone number. When I inquired later how things turned out, the fella acted kind of odd and told me that Kevin wouldn't work on his car and he had to take it somewhere else. It was a few months later before I remembered to ask Kevin about it and he told me that while they were talking about the repairs needed, scheduling, pricing and so forth, the guy made a snide remark about me. So Kevin ended the negotiations and told him he wouldn't work on his car. That's just the kind of man he is.

Well, earlier this week my buddy had a liver transplant. He's been on the transplant list for years and his turn finally came around. I've spoken to his wife and she says the docs have assured her he's doing very well.

So this get-well-wish goes out to Kevin. I just want him to know I'm thinking of him and he's in my prayers.

If you're so inclined, please add your voice to the shout-out and I'll send him a link to the thread.

    Thanks guys.
    Jane Ann

Rare Trait your "Mechanic" has, I would follow that by saying you also have a "FRIEND" as your Corvette Mechanic..

I love to hear story's like this, and Kevin's honor, integrity and being loyal to his conscious and his friends is admirable and a refreshing way to LIVE LIFE, and conduct Business...

I too shall remember Kevin in my prayers... May Kevin be back and doing what he enjoys and may he always be the nice man he is....

Thanks for the yell out... Good People are neat and make great friends
