Why not! Great for her!
Got to Brag!!
Yes, I do have to brag. My oldest granddaughter graduated college a month ago with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree...four years on the Dean's List, too. She just took her Board exam for nursing and passed!
Now, on to the hard part...finding a job!
We're extremely proud of her accomplishments so hope the job will come along soon.

You'd be surprised - here in MA there are no jobs in the medical field. I have 2 neighbors that recently graduated nursing school and they had a really tough time finding work. One of them got her 2nd Master's and is a Nurse practioner. This girl is married to a great kid who just completed medical school and had a hard time (due to the field he decided on) finding a permanent position.
They're all great kids and I feel sorry for them due to the bills they've incurred over the years. They're just now trying to start families and they're well into their 30's.
Let's hope "O" is a thing of the past in the not too distant future. He's doing everything he can to keep the minority/illegal vote.
I don't remember what the "good" things were that Romney did here, but I do remember he got rid of people who weren't doing their
jobs - some justified, some not.

First CONGRATs to your grand daughter for completion of a tough curriculum and profession. Nanc got her RN/lic/Degree back in when she was in her late 30's and was burnt out by her mid 40's.... it is a tough profession, very tough...
Long story, but all Nanc wanted to do was get out of business and be a nurse, they kept shoving her into management positions and the headaches that they bring providing a staff for Professional Health Care.. She ended up finishing out what she called her career, by working for a call service / independent RN staffing company. Worked as she wanted and when and where..
Enough of that...
I would like to toss Amarillo, TX into the mix for explorationWe have a Veterans Regional Medical Center, 88 room Hospital, not sure the new long term care VA facility capacity, also Texas Tec has a teaching / residency clinic and just built a new Hospital with over 150 bed plus research, NorthWest Hospital is semi private, but has the only top rated trauma unit in the area, along with Med Flights.. then there is the biggie BSA (Baptist Saint Anthony) and I wouldn't even want to guess the number of beds they have..
So, nurse's are ALWAYS in demand and I have seen sign on bonus's too
I wish you grand daughter the best and finding the place that fits for her and she gets to provide the care and comfort it sounds like she would love...
Bud
Thanks so much, Bud. I've passed everything on to Courtney. She is a very mature, confident young lady with great skills and personality so I'm sure that those attributes, as well as outstanding grades, will help in her search for a position in the nursing field.
Thanks, also, to everyone for your kind words regarding my boastfulness!!
